Benjamin Franklin Memorial

Fun Fact: In 1972, the Memorial was designated by the United States Congress as the official national memorial to Benjamin Franklin and was formally dedicated by then Vice President Nelson A. Rockefeller on April 12, 1976.

Changing Earth

Fun Fact: Changing Earth is constructed of sustainable materials. The flooring is made from recycled content and post-consumer waste products. All wood is Forest Stewardship Council certified or bamboo. All metal is recyclable. Paint is low-VOC and graphics are printed on recycled material using water-based inks.

Fun fact: Ben Franklin saved your life! Upon realizing the dangers of lightning, Benjamin Franklin invented the lightning rod in order to protect people, buildings, and ships. It was the first practical application of electrical knowledge.

The Franklin Air Show

Fun Fact: The Wright Model B Flyer, like the one on display in The Franklin Air Show, was one of the first mass-produced aircraft ever built and was the first plane to fly non-stop from Philadelphia to Atlantic City.
