Norman J. Zabusky obtained his B.E.E. from the City College of New York in 1951, his M.S. in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1953, and his Ph.D. in physics from the California Institute of Technology on 1959.
Shortly after completing his degree work, Dr. Zabusky spent several years at the Princeton University Plasma Physics Laboratory and Bell Labs before becoming a Professor of Mathematics at the University of Pittsburgh. In 1988, Dr. Zabusky took a position at Rutgers University, where he remains today. He is the Director of the Laboratory for Visiometrics and Modeling MAE and Center for Computer Aids for Industrial Productivity (CAIP).
