Theater Console Operator

Employment Status:   
Part-time, evenings and weekends are required.

Minimum Qualifications:
Punctuality and attention to detail are two most important aspects of this job.  Applicant must be computer literate and comfortable interacting with guests in a friendly manner.  Must maintain professional and polite demeanor under pressure.  High school graduate required.  College degree preferred but not required.  Experience with Audio/visual equipment a plus. Comfortable with working in noisy environments (loud films) and in the dark or minimally lit areas inside theaters for extended periods of time.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Console Operator will be working in the Tuttleman IMAX Theater, Fels Planetarium, and Franklin Theater. They will be responsible for making announcements over a microphone to an audience, assisting visitors with special needs, and reporting problems to appropriate staff.  They will also be responsible for light theater maintenance such as straightening chairs, checking doors, and clearing theaters after shows.  They will also provide occasional Audio/Visual support for special event programming in all theaters.
