Discovery is the name and science is the game when it comes to the Awesome Atoms—campers entering grades 3-6. With explosive activities developed to challenge campers’ perceptions, inspire an excitement for STEM learning, and foster collaborative problem-solving skills, these energetic camps are sure to blow your camper’s mind.

    Amusement Park Physics

    Physics is more fun when it takes place in the amusement park! In this swinging camp week, we will learn the laws of motion and develop skills related to modeling and materials while designing roller coasters and experimenting with gravity.

    Wizard School

    You are hereby invited to The Franklin Institute School of Witchcraft and Wizardry! Wear your robes and your safety goggles as you brew potions, get hands-on with the elements, and discover how chemistry can make the magic happen!

    Space Explorers

    3…2…1…BLAST OFF! Strap in for a week of exploration into living and working in outer space like an astronaut. In this dynamic week of learning and discovery, campers will return to earth at the end of each day with scientific knowledge that reaches to the moon and back.

    Campers can prepare to have their circuits blown  in this robotics camp! Discover what makes them tick as we build structures, wire circuits, and learn computer coding.

    Follow the clues and find the evidence! Join us for a week  of creative problem solving  as campers become crime scene investigators, working together, uncovering evidence, and solving a mystery—having  fun along the way!

    Book after February 21, 2018:
    $369 per week: Members
    $399 per week: Non-members

    Early arrival 8:00 am: $45 per week
    Late departure 5:30 pm: $55 per week

    *Some exceptions apply. Early booking discounts do not apply to the following weeks: July 2-6, August 20-24, and August 27-31. Member discounts are applicable only for weeks selected within the active membership period. Special pricing for the week of July 2-6: $309 for Members, $339 for Individuals.

  • Scholarships

    Each year Discovery Camp offers scholarships for excellence in academics and leadership, as well as for those who are in need of financial assistance. Our goal is to provide children who express an interest in science an opportunity to attend a session of our summer day camp. Each scholarship awarded will cover one (1) week of Discovery Camp in 2018.

    Applications must be received by 5:00 PM on Monday, March 26. No Exceptions.
    Make sure that all parts of the application packet are in one envelope and labeled Discovery Camp – Scholarships. You may submit the application packet in the following acceptable ways:
