Human Resources Benefits Administrator

Position Reports to: 
Human Resources Director  

Employment Status: 
Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week. 

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field with four (4) years’ experience in benefit administration.  SHRM Certification is a plus.  Effective and influential communication of information or presentation of topics to individuals and groups.  Previous project management highly preferred.  Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products, including excel, and experience with HRIS, preferably ADP.  Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.  Must be detail oriented with excellent organization skills.  Strong analytical skills and knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations is required.   

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

The HR Benefits Administrator is responsible for directing, planning, communicating, and administering The Franklin Institute’s group benefits and LOA programs (group health, dental, and vision, FMLA, short-term and long-term disability, worker’s compensation, life insurance, travel and accident plan, and flexible spending plan, 401(k), 403(b) and retirement plan).  The Benefits Administrator is responsible for coordinating group plan implementation, developing employee communication materials, facilitating employee communications, and managing leaves of absences
