Dr. Chang's primary research interests focus on semiconductor physics; materials and devices; low dimensional electron systems; and quantum- and nano-structures. Dr. Chang joined the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology as Dean of the School of Science in 1993, and he is presently the Vice-President for Academic Affairs, and Professor of Physics and Electrical and Electronic Engineering. He is a member of National Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Engineering, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Academia Sinica, and the Hong Kong Academy of Engineering Sciences. He is also a fellow of the American Physical Society and the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
