Position Description:

The Education Programs Coordinator will support the Education Programs team in the coordination and administration of education programs and will be responsive to the needs of the projects and programs. Programs will include a range of models including local and national networks, a variety of audiences including community partners and summer camp attendees, and short-term and ongoing programs.

This position will report to the Assistant Director of National and Network Education Programs, primarily coordinating the national and network programs, but will also support other education programs. As such, this individual will also work closely with the Assistant Director of Informal Education Programs and the Director of Education Programs.  The Education Programs Coordinator will also be responsible for the following: 

  • Coordinate expense reports and tracking program budgets
  • Facilitate the execution of contracts, POs, and check requests for program participants
  • Liaise with ticketing, finance, marketing, media, and other relevant Franklin Institute departments on program execution details
  • Coordinate virtual and in-person program trainings and events including reserving rooms and scheduling zoom meetings, provide day-of technical support, order event supplies and food, and support day-of logistics 
  • Set up and maintain project management software in alignment with existing structures, helping to streamline internal systems
  • Create and maintain project timelines 
  • Website maintenance, including updating public facing copy and creating accounts for program participants
  • Set up and maintain program applications in online systems including JotForm, Google Form, Microsoft SharePoint
  • Implement program logistics to scale including facilitating bulk ordering and drop-shipment of supplies from fulfillment companies
  • Maintain program schedules including scheduling external meetings in Teams and Zoom

Position Requirements

  • Two (2) years’ experience performing administrative duties in a professional setting
  • Strong collaboration and organizational skills 
  • Ability to adhere to rigorous deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
  • Must be detail-oriented and proactive
  • Experience in grant-funded program administration is preferred
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Suite and Google Forms preferred 
  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Fully vaccinated is defined as at least two weeks after your final dose. Medical and religious exemptions will apply.

Status:  Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday (8:45 AM – 5:15 PM)
