Sales and Service Representative I

Unscheduled Part-Time. 5-19 hours per week. Schedule will vary, but mostly weekends, some evening, holidays a must.  TEMPORARY THROUGH SEPTEMBER 2018.

Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED preferred. Computer training and first aid/CPR training a plus. Superior customer service and communication skills required. Proficiency with the Gateway ticketing system. Customer service experience in an attraction venue. Excellent cash handling skills. Ability to work unsupervised in the Membership and Group Sales box office.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: The Sales and Service Representative I must provide excellent customer service and assist with Guest Service functions during peak traffic periods as directed by supervisor. Operate ticketing system to process visitor transactions. Be proficient with the Galaxy Membership platform. Answer visitor inquiries and provide service to all museum visitors. Handle cash and other forms of payment in a secure, orderly and efficient manner. Assist guests with developing a plan for their day’s activities which may include timed ticketed experiences. Balance daily drawer total to within acceptable variance level. Attend all museum orientation and training programs. Perform basic clerical duties as assigned. Attend museum special exhibitions, theater shows, demonstrations and events to become proficient in our products and services. May require light cleaning duties. May require light lifting. May require extensive periods of standing.
