Graphic Designer

Position Description: 
The Franklin Institute - one of America’s most celebrated museums - is seeking a Graphic Designer to join our in-house design team. We are looking for a designer to create print and digital marketing assets in alignment with the visual brand identity and design standards of The Franklin Institute. The designer will coordinate with other departments in the approval process of all assigned projects and is responsible to produce an on-time, on-budget, high quality product. The designer will work in a fast paced environment and will be part of a small design team, which is part of the larger Marketing, Communications and Digital Media department. Candidate must have the ability to manage multiple projects, have strong organization skills, and be extremely attentive to details. Also strong typography skills and a passion for design are a must.

This position reports directly to the Graphic Design Manager.

Postion Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Graphic Design 

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant print and digital experience required

  • Strong portfolio showing a range of print and digital projects

  • Expert knowledge of Mac environment and Adobe Creative Cloud – Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, & Acrobat 

  • Experience with motion graphics/After Effects

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office/Excel/Powerpoint.
