This rich and inviting interactive exhibit is inspired by the Harvard classic A Forest Journey: The Role of Wood in the Development of Civilization by science writer John Perlin. It sheds new light on the history of the use of wood throughout the world, on forest products (from paper to lifesaving pharmaceuticals) and on the relationship between forests and the benefits of trees.

The Franklin Institute's Electricity exhibit features a classic set of sixteen hands-on interactives.
For years, the exhibits have engaged our visitors in an exploration of the fundamental properties of electricity. Now these highly engaging experiences are available for other science center audiences to enjoy.
After a successful run in 2011 at The Franklin Institute serving over 150,000 guests, this exhibit is now on tour at museums and institutions across the United States. The exhibit opens March 10, 2015 at the California Science Center. At this time, there are no plans to bring the exhibit back on display at The Franklin Institute.Read More
