In celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month, the Franklin Institute offers a day of special programming designed to highlight the contributions of Philadelphia locals and organizations that help educate and nourish our Latino community.
Guests on this celebratory day can enjoy live music from Magdaliz and Her Latin Ensemble CRISOL. Make your own Vejigante Mask and Flags with El Concilio. Event Sponsor Janssen R&D Spring House Campus will be onsite to provide visitors with an understanding of different types of sutures and stitches by designing a take-home suture model. Learn about Bomba and make your own paper dancer with Taller Puertorriquñeo.
Plus, all month long, the museum shines a spotlight on Latino scientists making an impact on communities in our region and across the nation through a highlight video playing hourly in the Ben Franklin National Memorial.
