Canceled: Night Skies in the Observatory: March

Tuesday, March 31, 2020 - 7:00pm to 10:00pm

This event has been canceled.

Join us for an evening of out-of-this-world astronomy activities hosted by Franklin Institute Chief Astronomer Derrick Pitts.

Build your own experience from any combination of planetarium shows, live science talks on astronomy or space science, and hands-on astronomy activities. Grab a drink at the cash bar, and explore our space exhibit and astronomy artifacts.

Weather permitting, enjoy continuous telescopic observing all evening, including a chance to look through our historic Zeiss Telescope, or gaze through a telescope on the museum’s scenic roof deck. The program is staffed with knowledgeable observers, and free star maps are provided, allowing you to continue your stellar exploration at home.
