The program is staffed with knowledgeable observers, and free star maps are provided.

Space Talk in Franklin Theater
7:15 pm – Ted Williams, Rittenhouse Astronomical Society
Early American Astronomer David Rittenhouse gained fame not only for his 1769 Venus Transit observations just outside of Philadelphia but also for his skills as a maker of very fine quality astronomy and survey tools. He would be amazed to find those same tools now available as smart phone apps. Williams will highlight the best Astro smart phone apps and show how they trace back to Rittenhouse’s tools.

Shows in Fels Planetarium
8:00 pm – The Sky Tonight
8:45 pm – To Space and Back
9:15 pm – The Sky Tonight
