Join us for a daylong celebration commemorating the momentous anniversary celebrating the Apollo Moon Landing! See below for a schedule of timed activities:  

Rocket Launches 
Head outside for any of our large-scale rocket demonstrations where we will launch a variety of different rockets throughout the day, including our colorful trash can rocket!

World’s Cheapest Spacesuit Demonstrations 
The popular live science show explores how a full spacesuit helps astronauts live and work outside of the International Space Station by using a spacesuit built on a budget.

Musser Theater | 10:30 & 11:30 am, 12:30 & 1:30 pm (Approx.  20 minutes)

Screenings of The Apollo Chronicles
A documentary miniseries  from Rotfeld Productions that covers the people, events, and obstacles of the Apollo mission, and features untold stories and hidden perspectives from Apollo 11 participants, family members, historians, and other experts, including our very own Chief Astronomer Derrick Pitts.

Grand Finale: Ball-Pit Ball Explosion
Join us for a grand finale of our classic ball-pit explosion, with a moon landing anniversary twist!

Lunar Lander Viewing
Learn about the Lunar Lander model through ongoing tours and discussions led by NASA Solar System Ambassador Frank O’Brien. The Lunar Lander model is on loan from the National Air and Space Museum.

Sphero Maze Challenge
Drop in and learn how to code a Sphero, a special ping-pong ball sized robot, to navigate its way through a maze and arrive on the moon.
