Experience Game Masters: The Exhibition followed by a special documentary screening of Atari: Game Over, with special guest archaeogamer Andrew Reinhard.
Atari: Game Over chronicles the 2014 excavation of landfill site in New Mexico, where hundreds of thousands of E.T. video game cartridges were buried. Watch the original documentary Atari: Game Over, with an introduction and Q&A with archaeogamer Andrew Reinhard, who excavated the game cartridges. What was found? Is this really archaeology? Led by The Franklin Institute’s environmental scientist Rachel Valletta.
- 6:00 pm Game Masters: The Exhibition and Franklin Foodworks Express open for beer, wine, snacks
- 7:30 pm Doors to Franklin Theater (Floor 1) open for the screening of Atari: Game Over
- 8:00 pm Game Masters closes and Atari: Game Over begins in Franklin Theater (Movie run time: 90 minutes) followed by a moderated Q&A
- 10:00 pm Franklin Foodworks Express closes and event concludes
Please note: food and drink are not allowed in the Game Masters exhibit but they are allowed in Franklin Theater for the documentary.
