Have a telescope and want to know how to use it?  Unsure of how best to use it to navigate the skies?  Or, just want to learn the basics of telescopes?

Who better to learn from than The Franklin Institute’s Chief Astronomer Derrick Pitts.

Bring your scope and join Pitts and his team for an interactive introduction to your telescope—from how to set it up to what to look for in the night sky.  Our goal is for you to leave with confidence you can operate your scope and a renewed sense of how to explore and appreciate the wonders of the night sky.

The three-hour workshop includes a 45-minute celestial navigation orientation in the Fels Planetarium, a broad telescope overview, ending with 60-minute personal instruction.
This workshop is limited to the first 25 attendees.  Must bring your own telescope.
