Opening Day Celebration
Saturday, March 31, 2018 - 10:00am to 3:00pm
Game Masters: The Exhibition powers up Saturday, March 31 as Philly’s best and brightest video game designers and developers set up at The Franklin Institute for the ultimate gaming showcase. Visitors can experience playable versions of their newest releases, plus see early concept art. In a unique event designed to inspire tomorrow’s creators, future gamers can meet the local names behind these games, and learn the many aspects of a game’s creation from concept and story writing to the coding and programming.
- Local developers include: Quadratron Games, Cleaversoft, Extra Life, Red Essence, Gossamer Games, Red Queen, PHL Collective, and Drexel’s Entrepreneurial Games studio.
- The classic game of Tetris® is brought to the next level with a life-size playable version on the 20-foot screens in the Ben Franklin National Memorial.
- Snap your photo with Sonic the Hedgehog—if you can catch him!
- Character costumes are encouraged, no masks or weapons.
