Position Description:
Reporting to the Director of Institutional Giving, the Corporate Giving Manager is responsible for managing and cultivating relationships with new and existing corporate and government prospects to support annual operations and a capital campaign in advance of the Institute’s 200th anniversary.
- Manage a portfolio of corporate and government prospects and implement strategies to move prospects through the donor cycle.
- Manage more than $800,000 in sponsorship fundraising for the Franklin Awards Ceremony and Dinner including identifying new prospects, managing renewals, benefit fulfillment, and overall sponsor logistics.
- Oversee the Corporate Membership program of 50+ organizations including acquisition efforts, renewals, benefit fulfillment and recognition.
- Effectively coordinate prep of meeting materials, solicitations, stewardship reports, and communication with senior Institute leaders, including the President and CEO.
- Work collaboratively across many departments towards the creation and management of sponsorship opportunities and materials including traveling exhibitions, permanent exhibitions, themed programming, and educational programs; Coordinate and support onsite activations and sponsorship benefits.
- Work with the Director of Institutional Giving to provide high quality support to volunteer committees including an Executive Corporate Board and Awards Corporate Committee.
- Effectively coordinate prep of meeting materials, solicitations, stewardship reports, and communication with senior Institute leaders, including the President and CEO.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- 3-5 years related experience in development or related field.
- Familiarity with managing and strategically growing a portfolio is required.
- Local knowledge of the Philadelphia business and philanthropic community and an ease with networking a definite plus.
- Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with relationship management software, preferably Raiser’s Edge.
Status: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8:45 am – 5:15 pm. Ability to work evenings and weekends, travel locally and regionally, as necessary.
