  • What is Science After Hours?

    Science After Hours at The Franklin Institute is part of series of events designed for adults ages 21 and up curated by Philadelphia’s premier science museum in collaboration with organizations across the city. Each Science After Hours features live science demonstrations, engaging guest speakers, great music, one-of-a-kind activities and provides the opportunity to explore The Franklin Institute’s hands-on exhibit spaces. 

  • Is alcohol available at Science After Hours?

    Each Science After Hours includes cash bars featuring beer, wine and a specialty cocktail. Bars are located on the 2nd Floor in Franklin Foodworks and the Atrium Café.  A bar is also located on the 1st floor in the Fels Planetarium.

    Be sure to check your program you receive that evening for information on the specialty cocktail and any updated information.

  • Can I come in costume?

    Costumes and theme related outfits are encouraged, but masks or weapons of any kind will not be permitted into the event.

  • Do you have a coat check?

    A self-coat check is available on the first floor for all Science After Hours. During colder months the coat check may be staffed to handle the larger volume.

  • How do I get to The Franklin Institute for Science After Hours?

    Directions to The Franklin Institute using public transportation or by car is available on our website. Note that space in The Franklin Institute's onsite parking garage is limited and using public transportation is suggested.

  • How do I purchase tickets?

    Tickets for all upcoming Science After Hours can be purchased on our website. In the event that the event does not sell our before the date of the event, tickets will be available at the door.  Due to the popularity of these events, we strongly recommend that you purchase tickets in advance as capacity is limited.
