SCIENCE CONCEPT:
History keeps the record of how man unraveled the mysteries of natural flight and the forces on Earth that make flight possible.
STUDENT OBJECTIVE:
The student will be able to draw or write about a person who contributed to the history of flight.
OVERVIEW:
The student will demonstrate an understanding of history of flight by drawing or writing a biography of a person involved in the history of flight.
TEACHER TEXT:
From the beginning of history we have been fascinated by flight. Aeronautics, the science of flight, is based on precise mathematical principles. Aeronautics took many centuries to develop. Throughout this period there was an accumulation of knowledge. Individuals persisted in attaining their dream of flight by studying the flyers in nature and by persistent hard work in modeling these natural flyers.
