How Air and other Gases Move - Aerodynamics

As air moves around an object (like an airplane wing) it tries to force the the object to move. The study of how air pushes and pulls on objects is called aerodynamics. These forces are in operation with airplanes, sailboats, cars, and other objects moving quickly through the air. Aerodynamics helps us understand how to fly much better.

How High Speed Gases Change - Gas Dynamics

Airplanes or rockets that fly very fast and very high have different rules called "gas dynamics". There is a change in rules because of very hot air and high speeds of the airplanes and rockets.

Most of the sections in this chapter will talk about objects (things) moving through the air, like planes, and rockets.
