Wilbur Wright writes to Octave Chanute - May 13, 1900

The History: This was the first correspondence between the Wrights and Octave Chanute. The letter is import from several different perspectives:

  • Establishing the relationship between the Wrights and Chanute;
  • The presentation of the Wright's experimental test plan;
  • The belief no financial gain would be obtained from developing a flying mac hine.
  • Discussion of the tower
  • Discussion of bird wing tip torsion.
