The Franklin Institute Homeschool Workshop Series

Sign In and Permission Information

Updated safety and security procedures for the 2005 Homeschool Workshops Series

In our continuous efforts to provide you with the most pleasurable experience possible as you take part in The Franklin Institute's Homeschool Workshops Series it is necessary to make the following changes to our standard procedures:

  • All students will need to have the Consent Form (PDF) on file with us by the end of their first day. The purpose of this form is to make sure that the needs of all students may be anticipated and accommodated as we proceed with scheduled activities during the workshops and to insure that you are made aware of any important information regarding your child as quickly as possible in the case of an emergency.

All Homeschool students will need to be signed in & out each day.

  • An adult must sign students in at the start of each session and sign them out before leaving with them at the end, unless written permission to sign themselves out is submitted for the children.
  • Parents will sign students in at the registration desk in Franklin Hall (in front of the statute of Ben Franklin) while students make/decorate a name badge. At this time parents will indicate any other adults authorized to pick up each student and give us an emergency contact number.
  • Students will be brought back to Franklin Hall for pick up. Please, provide us with advance notice should you need to pick students up early.
  • Whoever picks up your child should be aware of their group and must be listed as an adult authorized for release (meaning that your child may be released to them).
  • Students must be signed out at the check in/out table before leaving each day.
