PACTS (Partnerships for Achieving Careers in Technology and Science) is a year-round youth leadership experience, designed to involve students as an integral part of The Franklin Institute. It combines science enrichment, career development, mentoring, and leadership opportunities for diverse middle and high school students in the Philadelphia region. As a PACTS student, you can experience hands-on science workshops, environmental research, special field trips, college and career counseling, and much more.

Each year, PACTS works with approximately 100 students in the school and summer-term programs. During the eleven years of its existence, PACTS has enrolled more than 1,000 students, has offered over 130 students intern employment in the museum, and has "graduated" 95 students, some of whom have returned as college interns to work in the program. Over the years, PACTS has also touched the lives of several thousand additional students through weekend workshops in neighborhood sites and invitational programs at The Franklin Institute.
