2005-2006 CAMP-IN...Spy Camp: The Electrifying Mystery
CAMP IN - The Electrifying Mystery

There's a Mystery in the Museum!

At Spy Camp-In, campers will be "charged" to solve The Electrifying Mystery. Sparks fly as the night kicks off with a high-voltage electrical theater experience. After the show, campers will get a jolt of spy training as they collect electrical clues and unravel the mystery. Campers will be "shocked" at how much they learn while having so much fun!

It's all part of The Franklin Institute's signature Camp-In program, going into its 20th year. Camp-In combines interactive programs and hands-on science activities with an action-packed museum visit. The museum is yours to explore all night long. Your Camp-In includes:

Plus, as a bonus...each camper (13 and under) receives the official Camp-In patch, entitling them to FREE museum admission throughout the 2005-2006 school year—up to a $13.75 value each visit.
Patch does not include Tuttleman IMAX® Theater or Body Worlds exhibit. Patch discount not valid when return visit is part of an organized group.

 Spy Camp Highlights
The Electricity Show
The Franklin Institute's new electrical spectacular will electrify the spirit of Ben Franklin as visitors experience the amazing power of electricity in this live, interactive, high-voltage show. Watch giant lightning bolts dance across the stage and reenact Ben's hair-raising sentry box experiment. Witness lightning close up, catch sparks through the air, and join in the quest for knowledge about electricity in our lives.

Electricity Agents
Campers will be lead by "sparking" staff to investigate electrical ideas and devices. From energy to equipment, this expertise will enable campers to discover the clues that will unlock The Electrifying Mystery.

Feature Film in the Tuttleman IMAX® Theater
Our giant-screen theater makes campers feel as if they were right in the action! Enjoy unobscured views. A 170-degree, four-an-a-half story domed screen surrounds our comfortable stadium seating. Add the magnificent sound of 56 directional speakers, and you are set for the ultimate movie-going experience. It's the best way to spend those last bursts of energy before campers bed-down in one of our amazing exhibits!

BIG!—In the Fels Planetarium
In the morning, it's off to explore the Universe. How big is it? Journey to the farthest observable reaches of the Universe to find out. Seen by over 400,000 visitors to England's National Space Centre, BIG combines a light-hearted storytelling style with computer animation, claymation, laser graphics, and a surround sound musical score to bring a really big subject down to Earth.
