Cheltenham HS Origin Of Life Life, a property of plants and animals which makes it possible for them to take in food, get energy, grow, adapt themselves to their surroundings, respond to stimuli, and reproduce their kind, is a quality that distinguishes a living species from inorganic matter or a dead organism. The origin of life, a controversial topic, had to be caused by God. There are so many questions left unanswered in the opposing or evolutionist’s views. No one has ever observed or witnessed the creation of life from non-living matter. The evolutionists believe that the earth contained a “soup”, consisting of all the necessary ingredients for life. Because of random processes, the components mixed to form a living organism. Mathematically, it is improbable for complex systems to come from random processes. It is believed that the evolutionary process would have taken billions of years to get the correct combination for life. Arithmetically, there was insufficient time for creation of even the simplest organisms. There are more recent discoveries that show life emerged in a shorter time period then expected. There hasn’t been an adequate amount of time for the “natural” random process of evolution to create the living things of this complex world. Fossil records don’t support transitions between species as well. There are great difficulties and many facets disproved in the theory of evolution by natural processes. With the available information, one must conclude that there are not enough facts to prove the theory of natural processes. Looking around the world today, there are so many overwhelming “coincidences” that lead to a creator. With the available information, I believe that the universe and all its components is an arranged creation. References: “How Did Life Begin?” Return to God Magazine, Vol. 1 Number 1:4. |
