Cheltenham HS What Is Life? Life is a creation of God. I believe that there is no definition that can fully explain and describe life because we cannot comprehend the acts of God. But life has certain qualities that we can separate and distinguish from inanimate things. Life is taking in what is given to it and utilizing its environment to supply for its needs. Life is a struggle for growth and survival, it is the fight to be number one in it’s own environment. Life is using its own innate qualities to create a balance between other living things; it has its own specific purpose in living. Life is affecting and manipulating others in it’s own environment to make and cause changes. Life is growing, maturing, learning, and developing. Life is simply the predecessor of death. Life has a beginning and a end. The of the origin of life is very simple for me: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (Gen.1:1). That is my belief of how life originated; there are no complicated chemical reactions or spontaneous life. I agree that life is biogenesis…that life came from life. Since life came from life the question asked is where the first life originated from. The first life was God…who then gave life to have life. |
