After
the museum visit, students participated in the “Classroom Measurement
Olympics”. The students were provided
with the opportunity to practice taking measurements using various tools:
measuring tapes, meter sticks, primary balance (scale) and capacity
containers. Students were separated into teams of 2-4 students. The students
were given the activity sheets and the measuring tools. All the directions were read prior to beginning
the activities. The classroom was active and a little loud but the students
had a lot of fun. |
