Location: Changing Earth (Third Floor of the Franklin Institute) Chaperone Instructions: The students will need the a timer, garden rake, (both supplied by the teacher) to complete this investigation. Please leave these materials at the side of the stream table when you are finished for the next group. The last group (1:00- 1:30) should make sure these materials get back on the bus and back to school. The students have 30 minutes to complete this investigation. If they finish early they may explore the rest of the room. 1. Use the large garden rake to make the sand surface smooth. 2. Turn on one of the water sources for 2 minutes (start the timer when the water starts). 3. Draw an aerial view of what happened. Label any erosion or deposition that you observe. 4.
