Inquiry at The Franklin Institute

Overview

This web site is created for elementary school educators who want to use The Franklin Institute more effectively during their field trip experiences. This web site will help educators lead their children through explorations with land and water, force and motion, and the sun, moon, and earth. Each link provides lessons plans for the educator to use in the classroom before the museum visit to give the children practice and context for their explorations. There are also materials and lessons plans to use in the museum during the field trip. During the field trip, the students will have the opportunity to visit five different exhibits. The children will rotate in groups of 4-5 between the activities.
