THE EARLY CHILDHOOD EXPERIENCE

Available Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday throughout the school year

Two choices offered, both packages include:
• General museum admission including the KidScience exhibit
(designed for ages 8 and under)
• Guided exploration of KidScience or Sir Isaac’s Loft exhibits
• Hands-on workshop tailored to specific grade level

$12.00 per student; free for chaperones. Allow 1.5-2 hours.

Specially designed for young learners, these engaging museum experiences include creative movement, exhibit exploration and hands-on investigations of scientific phenomena. Making Things Move Experience
Minimum 10 students,
maximum 25 students

Have fun rolling, spinning, and bouncing your way through science! Students will explore force and motion in the Sir Isaac’s Loft exhibit, then build with our “crazy ball maze” workshop.

Sir Isaac’s Loft
This exhibit illustrates basic principles of physics in an art gallery setting. Interactives demonstrate chain reactions, light, motion and energy. See artwork that uses science to play with your mind.

Water, Water,
Water Experience
Minimum 10 students,
maximum 25 students

Drip, swish, and splash with wonderful, wet water! Students will investigate the properties of water in the KidScience exhibit, then experiment in a “liquid laboratory” workshop.

KidScience
Exclusively for children 8 years old and younger, this interactive exhibit introduces students to the basic properties of air, water, earth and light. Young learners will discover energy and its effects as they board a ship, climb a lighthouse, power a real waterwheel and navigate mazes.
