Hot air is less dense than cold air. So hot air floats upwards. If you fill a 'balloon' with hot air, it may float upwards too. 

Find a large plastic bag. Use a bag made from the very thinnest kind of plastic. 

 Fill the balloon with hot air, using a hairdrier. Never use a naked flame.
