Lily Pad Pond is one type of freshwater wetland. Swamps, streams, marshes, rivers and lakes are other examples of small wetlands. Wetlands are communities of plants and animals. Each organism lives, finds food and shelter, reproduces and dies in the wetland. Each plant and animal is dependent on their environment and each other for survival.
