Meet The Author


Hello! Thank-you for dropping by! Ny name is Karen Walkowiak ; I am a Grade Six teacher at Holy Redeemer Catholic School in Kanata, Ontario, Canada and am employed with the Ottawa-Carleton Catholic School Board. In addition to being a full-time teacher, I am also site administrator at the school. I maintain two pentium labs and am responsible for inservicing staff regarding software and Internet. I have the privilege of being a Franklin Institute Online Fellow for the 1998-1999 school year! Together with eight other Fellows, I will be producing three web features during the upcoming year.
Presently, I have been contracted by the Nectar Foundation as a teacher advisor. I am also the school web editor. Be sure to visit our school home page at: Holy Redeemer Catholic School! In my *spare* time, I work with a colleague on the 6th Grade Treasure Trove, which is a project that we initiated this year for 6th Grade teachers.
