This is a wonderful activity to assign to complement the Planet Project! Students can work on this Styrofoam Planet Project independently with partners at home!

Materials:

  • styrofoam balls (of varying sizes to represent the planets)
  • styrofoam ring
  • pipe cleaners
  • spray paint
  • bamboo sticks

    Method:

    1. Decide on the sizes of styrofoam balls and which planets they will represent.
    2. Spray-paint styrofoam balls
    3. Assemble on the stryrofoam ring.
