Materials:

  • White or Beige Coloured Construction Paper (to draw and colour Comets)
  • Black Construction Paper (to glue comets on to)
  • Pastels
  • Scissors

    Method:

    1. Discuss proportion of a comet with students in addition to the combination of colours that will achieve a desired effect.
    2. Students sketch, using a pencil, a comet (it could be a comet shape or star shape) on beige or white consruction paper.
    3. Colour sketch using pastels.
    4. Cut out comet and mount on black construction paper.
