On the menu bar (see left), there is an item marked "Extras." This particular menu allows students to view their entire story board (see below). Students can check to make sure their animation is in sequence. With the example below, we have created six images of our star. If you look closely, you can see the image of the star is moved slightly to the right in each successive picture. This was a simple animation using just the lasso tool in the tool bar and moving the image slightly to the right. Animations can be much more complicated. Students can have clouds move across the sky by adding some white on one side of the cloud and erasing some of the white on the other end. The sky is the limit when it comes to the imagination of your students. If students have created many cards you may have to increase the memory allotment for HyperStudio, or create several stacks of images. The stacks do not have to be linked together as they will be discarded after the animation has been created. When students have all of the pictures they feel they will need to create their animation, it is time to pictify all of the images. Click on the Pictify button to the left to continue.
