Sometimes earthquakes occur under the ocean. When that happens, a wave motion is created in the water. This is call a "tsunami", and can be demonstrated in miniature by using a pan of water and floating dominos. The dominos were placed on top of a lid, and when the water was shaken, the dominos fell over. |
