Mount Saint Helens

My name is Kristina G. On May 18, 1980 in Washington State, Mount St. Helens erupted. I was amazed how large and bad it was, knocking giant trees down by Pyroclastic flow. There were warnings about Mount St. Helens erupting. People evacuated from their homes. But, unfortunately, 57 people died, not all were evacuated. I watched from about 11 miles away. Boy was I lucky, or I would have been killed if I hadn't evacuated.
