Once upon a time there was a small tree. Under the tree was a huge boulder. At first the tree's roots just brushed the surface of the boulder. As the tree grew, some of its roots grew into the rocks in the boulder. While the roots grew, they slowly put pressure on the boulder. Eventually the boulder cracked. Everything lived happily ever after except the boulder.
