The Anasazi were known as the basket makers because they made beautiful baskets and sandals.  They made them out of bark and plant fibers.  The first basket makers got their food by hunting and gathering.  The Anasazi ate rabbits, deer, bison and wild sheep.  The Anasazi later became farmers.  They grew corn, squash and beans.  They kept turkey and used their feathers to weave in to blankets.
