
The Hopis eat corn, bean, squash, melons, gourds, pumpkins, and fruits. Corn is the most important food to the Hopis.
The men and women have jobs. The men jobs are very important.
They plant and harvest the crops. Men also perform in ceremonies.
The women jobs are to own the house and land, they
also weave baskets. Children’s jobs are to go to school now days
and learn ancient Hopi ways.
“ You’ll hear some of interesting facts”. In February the children are taken to a special dance. Once there, they’re sacred and given some toys. “ Here’s another interesting fact”. After the twentieth day a baby is born, it is taken to a cliff in the morning. When the first rays of sun shine on its head it’s given a name.
