What We Watched For During The Test!

In our wind tunnel we changed the angle of attack. We used a protractor to help us. We changed the angle by 15 degrees each time. Below is a diagram.

Each drawing shows what our test looked like. We used thread to help us see the flow of air in the wind tunnel.

1. In the first drawing, we left the wing in a normal flight position.



2. In the second drawing, we are showing how the change in the angle of attack changed the thread.



3. In the third drawing, we are showing how the decrease in the angle of attack changed the thread. Notice the thread at the bottom. This is showing turbulence.
