Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Who can register to attend?
A: All In-Service Teachers and School Administrators are welcome to attend for free with school ID.

Q: Can I bring a non-teaching guest (spouse/child/friend) with me?
A: Non-teaching guests may attend at a fee of $15 per person. You must pay for the guest at time of registration. To register yourself and a guest, please 215.448.1200 (Option 3), weekdays 9:00AM-5:00PM. Please have a major credit card ready.

Q: There is a start time of 3:30PM listed. What if I can't arrive until later in the evening?
A: Our Check-in Counter will remain open until 6:30PM. You may check in at any time up until then.

Q: What do I need to check in?
A: You must present a School ID at Check In. If your school does not issue ID's, please have a recent paystub and state-issued ID available. If you do not have your ID, we will need to charge you $15 for your admission to the event.

Q: I am a homeschool educator. Can I attend?
A: Homeschooling educators are eligible to attend. You must show a form of identification upon checking in. Acceptable forms of identification include registration form submitted to your school district or state, Homeschool Legal Defense Fund Identification Card or evidence of curriculum. If you do not have ID, we will need to charge you $15 for your admission to the event.

Q: Can I receive PA ACT 48 credits for attending?
A: We regret that PA ACT 48 credits are not given for attending Educators' Night Out.

Q: Can I book a school visit while I'm there?
A: Of course! Our Group Sales staff will be on hand to handle all of the field trip planning arrangements! Special discounts to book your trip will be offered! Bookings will be accepted between 5:00PM and 8:00PM at the Membership counter.

Q: How can I confirm you have received my registration?
A: You will receive a confirmation email after your registration has been processed. Please add reservations@fi.edu to your Address/Contact List to ensure receipt of this email.

Q: Will the IMAX® and/or other theater shows be offered?
A: Yes, we will be featuring IMAX®, Franklin 3D, and Planetarium shows as well as live science shows. All of these shows are available on a first come, first served basis. The specific schedule of shows will be available soon.

Q: Is food provided?
A: Light refreshments and beverages will be provided.

Q: Where do I park?
A: Discounted parking is available in the Institute's garage on 21st Street (just past Winter Street). The rate will be $5.00 per car. You may also be able to find metered parking in the area, as well as other private lots/garages. Please note that the discounted parking is limited to the Institute's garage only. There may be different fees at all other private lots. More information is available here.
