Mrs. Sally Hilton, Community Relations, met us in the main lobby, explained the necessities of hospital behavior and briefly described the departments we would visit.

Scenes from the Hospital

First, we met Dr. Walter Hoffman, who was a pathologist. Along with having a good sense of humor and comparing him- self to Quincy, he described his work to the students and allowed them to peek into the morgue, sans bodies!

We then met Ms Sally Cousounis, who was the lab administrator, and she briefly described different areas of research.

On to the pharmacy where Dr. Craig McCurdy went into detail about his work and the years of preparation that went into his profession.

And finally, Dr. Robert Cameron escorted us into the emergency center and demonstrated different techniques for measuring body processes with needles and tubes. The students seemed to really enjoy this last area. All in all, the one hour visit seem to be educational as well as enjoyable. Follow-up visits are planned.
